On October 5, the Japanese-Hungarian Biotech Business Seminar will take place in Tokyo, bringing together representatives of the Hungarian and Japanese biotech and life sciences sectors during the week of BioJapan 2026. The aim of the event is to foster new business and professional connections and to lay the foundations for long-term Hungarian-Japanese cooperation. 

The initiative was originally conceived as a joint idea by Japanese company G-Theranostics and Sűdy & Co. Ltd. The Embassy of Hungary in Tokyo ultimately became the main organiser of the project. Sűdy & Co. is participating as a co-organiser, primarily supporting Hungarian companies in building business relationships in Japan. 

Hungarian Innovations on the Japanese Market  

The professional programme, hosted at Tokyo Innovation Base, will provide an opportunity for Japanese pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, investors, researchers and other industry professionals to learn directly about representatives of Hungary’s life sciences sector. 

Several Hungarian organisations and companies will present their activities as part of the programme, including the Hungarian Biotech Association, Neo-Antigen Biotechnology, SigmaDrugs, Turbine, and VRG Therapeutics. 

The presentations will be followed by startup pitches, professional sessions and networking opportunities, creating a platform for initiating concrete business and technological collaborations. 

Sűdy & Co. Supports Hungarian Companies in Building Business Relationships in Japan  

In connection with the event, Sűdy & Co. is actively supporting Hungarian biotech companies in entering the Japanese market and developing business relationships in Japan. 

As part of this effort, we are reaching out to Hungarian companies, supporting their participation at BioJapan 2026, and arranging business-to-business meetings with Japanese partners whose activities and interests align with their specific business objectives. 

The cooperation will continue on October 6 with further targeted business meetings and an exclusive dinner hosted by the Hungarian-Japanese Chamber of Commerce in Tokyo. These programmes will provide an opportunity for participating Hungarian and Japanese companies to discuss concrete business and technological opportunities in greater detail. 

The initiative aims to ensure that the event serves not only as a platform for professional exchange, but also as a starting point for tangible Hungarian-Japanese business relationships and long-term cooperation.
