Akira Gen

Worked at Mitsui & Co., Ltd. for 36 years. Served overseas as department head, branch manager, and division general manager in Russia and South Korea, while also spending extended periods in the United States and France. Led M&A transactions and financing arrangements in the energy and food sectors, and, as a board director of numerous affiliated companies, achieved corporate value enhancement including business turnarounds.

Retired from Mitsui & Co., Ltd. in 2025. Currently residing in Budapest, he continues to serve as an advisor to various companies where he was involved in enhancing corporate value, and assumed the position of advisor to our company in April 2026.

With Hungary being not only one of the world’s leading countries in Nobel Prize winners per capita, but also a major producer in the agricultural, forestry, and livestock sectors, I believe that there are still many untapped business opportunities that could generate significant mutual synergies by strengthening ties between Hungary, Japan and South Korea. I hope to serve as a bridge in fostering such opportunities and connections.
